For the pbooks forums, we're currently using bbpress. It works OK, but there are a few issues I have with it. bbpress is made by the same people who make wordpress, so I had high hopes for it. One of the main things I liked about it was that user registration could be shared between the blog and the forums. That's not really an issue, and it doesn't seem to be too big of a benefit either.
As much as I like wordpress, not much beats punbb as far as I can tell. Sure it looks kind of plain, but from a functionality standpoint, its top notch.
Anyone for or against such a move?
