What language is PBooks written in?
PBooks runs on the PHP language, but most of the logic is programmed in SQL and XSL. There is work in progress to allow PBooks to run on Perl, Python, TCL, and Ruby.
Can I use PBooks to balance my checkbook?
Yes, it is possible to do that, but most people would find it too complicated for the task. It has been designed for use by businesses with numerous accounts using the double enty bookkeeping system.
Is PBooks available in my language?
Not yet, but we've got a good setup for translation. The process and specifications need a little more refinement. For more information, check out the PBooks i18n page.

What do I need to run PBooks?
You need a web server, such as Apache, a database, such as MySQL, and an XML / XSL processor, like [http://www.nexista.org/blog/ Nexista] / PHP with the xml and xslt extensions.
