How do I install PBooks?
Its not easy right now, try, take notes, and let us know what caused problems. If you've got some technical skills, check out the PBooks Developer Quick Start Guide.
What language is PBooks written in?
PBooks runs on the PHP language, but most of the logic is programmed in SQL and XSL.
I'm running PBooks behind NAT with a name resolving to a public IP - is that a problem?
Unfortunately, yes, but not a huge problem. See: http://www.pbooks.org/trac/ticket/10
I think this can be worked around by editing /etc/hosts on the server machine to override the public name to resolve back to the private ip, but that might cause problems with php sessions, but I don't think so. This workaround works for me.
Can I use PBooks to balance my checkbook?
Yes, it is possible to do that, but most people would find it too complicated for the task.
Is PBooks available in my language?
Not yet, but we've got a good setup for translation. The process and specifications need a little more refinement. For more information, check out the PBooks i18n page.
How is PBooks licensed?
PBooks is licensed under the Affero GPL version 3.
